Happy Saint David's Day everybody!

For the first time ever, we won't be having Welsh cakes today, which makes me sad. Mam's still in hospital, and I just don't have the time to bake. Between looking for jobs, tidying the house and going over to visit Mam there's not enough hours in the day.

Whatever you're doing today, have a good one. And check out the cute Google doodle.

March 1st is Saint David's Day, and Saint David is the Patron Saint of Wales. Like Saint Patrick's for the Irish, Saint Andrew's for the Scots, it's a day to celebrate the glory of Welshness - like the song says *points to video* (the chorus, the important bit, is in English!) - by eating Welsh food, waving daffodils around and if at all possible getting drunk!

(St George's day is the English one, but 90% of English people haven't got a clue when it is and those who do care about it are the bigoted EDL/BNP 'England for the English' types so we'll ignore that)
