Music meme
Snagged from aeron_lanart

Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line(s) from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.

(9) Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head - the one from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid?
(17) I want you to want me - Letters to Cleo (hopefully that's the version you have)
But, I don't want to be a pie,: abbeyidontlikegravy on January 29th, 2008 10:16 pm (UTC)

(1) Night and Day - Ella Fitzgerald and ol' Blue Eyes both have recordings out.
The other Weird Al: JBaeron_lanart on January 28th, 2008 08:18 pm (UTC)
And so does John Barrowman and Kevin Kline. I'm guessing that version for some reason.

Everything But the Girl did it in the 1980s too, which you can hear at last fm if you're interested.

#3 Every Little Thing She Does is Magic.

I'm assuming the JB version from Another Side rather than The Police.

#18 Heaven
I'm assuming JB again *g*

6 - Young Hearts Run Free -- by Kim someone or other? Arg! It's on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack!
14 - A Little Respect -- sadly I can't remember the original artist, but I know Wheatus did a cover. *faceplant*

I know 8 and 9, but they've already been guessed. :)

Correctamundo!

It was Kym Mazelle.
I was listening to the Wheatus version so you get full marks for that one. The 80s release (which I think is the original, correct me if I'm wrong) was Erasure.

*drools over icon*

Re: PS
Hee, thanks for the icon compliment, but 15 is eeeevil! Do I get a point if I make the obvious guess that's it's a Green Day song then? lol

Re: PS
LOL

how about half a point *grin*

I admit, it is evol, but like I said I had a lot of instrumentals on my playlist!

It's very recent and from a movie. If that helps at all. *runs away*

Re: PS
Instrumental? Movie?
*lightbulb*
The Simpsons Movie, by any chance? ; D
Either that or Espionage from Austin Powers, but that's much less recent.

Re: PS
It was indeed The Simpsons Theme! *evil cackle* You definitely get points for that :)
