Well it's about time....
I'm probably the last to know as usual, but the BBC have finally posted the transmission date for Children of Earth. It starts on Monday July 6th at 9pm on BBC one. So, one week's notice. Nice one Aunty Beeb.

Now the only thing is when shall it be on the interwebs.....for illegal downloading. (cause I don't live in the U.K nor do I have BBCAmerica)

And how many times will Jack kiss someone?

Well he kisses Ianto once in the behind the scenes clip on the Torchwood site (I'm guessing that won't play outside the UK, sorry) and that is only 49secs long!

I think we should start a pool. OOH!!! And the person closest gets a fic! Hmm, I may consider doing that...

Are we going for proper full on snogs?
Or also little kisses on the lips, cheeks, foreheads?

And what about winks and references to sex?

And are you only counting Jack or does it include Gwen and Ianto as well? Or just any kisses anywhere in the 5 episodes?

This is getting complicated... It requires further thought I think. Perhaps several categories are in order.

Lots of categories.

You people and your quaint little categories...

I think it could get a bit ridiculous, so I think I'll just stick with Jack kissing. I'll start the pool on Saturday!

Of course it was announced far too late for me to request shifts so consequently I'm working til 9pm on Monday, Tuesday and Friday with no chance of swapping or going home early.

I don't have and can't afford either a dvd/hd recorder so it looks like it'll be BBCiPlayer for me and not my lovely big telly.

I already have an offer of recorded dvds off one of my mates though, so that's not so bad.

ETA It's being repeated at around midnight on BBC 3 so I *will* be able to watch on the telly. Yay! Also, peeps in work have okayed me trying to scarper a bit early in an effort to get home for 9pm (I officially finish at 8:30pm but am rarely out before 9). The scarpering early involves me getting in early so I can get a parking space easily but I can live with that I think.

Hooray for BBC3! I'll keep fingers crossed for you on Mon. :)

I'm guessing you were in work for the Radio 4 play this afternoon? Luckily they are available to download after their respective broadcast dates from the BBC website. I put Radio 4 on the Freeview and DVD'd it! (Went to see Public Enemies, which was made of teh awesome, so I haven't listened to it all yet, but what I did listen too was pretty good.)

I've downloaded and listened to both radio plays that have been broadcast so far. It's funny how much more Welsh Gwen sounds while Ianto seems to be losing his accent (pity). PC Andy was brill in the first one and I'd love to see more of him in all forms of Torchwood.

Me too! I'm hoping that all this is setting up Andy and Rhys as having more active roles (rather than introducing new official members of Torchwood), even if it's only for Children of Earth.

I loved that Rhys was in today's, I thought it was another good one. My only complaint was that the third act felt rushed, like it was intended as a book or a longer play but had to be cut down to fit the 45mins. They just found the solution a little quickly.

And I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried a little during Ianto's little speech to Jack. *sniffle*
