Fannish musings....
So, probably everyone's seen the casting for the Hobbit by now, but in case you've been living in a cave or you don't want to know I'll pop this under a cut.
So, there was an article in Empire about the casting of the Hobbit that's been announced and it mentioned that Martin Freeman had been the Bilbo Peter Jackson wanted all along, but that there had been issues with filming Sherlock that had now been resolved. So 1: There's more Sherlock to come *woots* but 2: what do they mean by resolved? Is Martin going to continue playing Watson? Will the Hobbit delay filming of Sherlock? Or are they able to film around each other? I'm thinking the last option, as Peter Jackson is keen to move the production to Europe, preferably the UK if budget allows.

Along a similar line, I wondered what the casting of Aidan Turner meant for the future of Being Human, or at the least Mitchell's role in it. Again, I hope it means that he's simply filming his role on downtime and nothing more. Although, am I the only one who thinks he'd make a better elf than dwarf? :)

Anyway, those are my random thoughts - anyone else care to chip in?

Well I think there was a message on sherlockbbc where Martin states in an interview that he will begin filming the hobbit next year, take a break in the summer to film sherlock, then wrap up to finish filming for the hobbit. :D

Phew! That is a relief, Sherlock wouldn't be the same without him.
