What do you think?
Contributions haven't been exactly flowing in lately, so we thought as mods we should ask around, see what, if anything, we are doing wrong. So please, take the time to answer the poll, and leave any comments. Thanks :)

This is not the community you are looking for :)

Seriously, you've posted this in your own journal *pats*

I knew that.

I still answered though. I hadn't noticed. Oops.

The only thing I would suggest is some more fluidity in fic length. I've had a couple that I might have used but at only 200 words or so they've not really been suitable. I'm not good at writing to short deadlines either. I managed the amnesty one because I had a choice of prompts and a longer deadline.

Length seems to be a common issue (has naughty ideas about Jack and tape measures *eg*) so that's definitely something that will change. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I think fluidity in length might help, and I really liked the Amnesty idea, but the 3 (yes, 3!) fics I've started as a flash-fic bunny that I wanted to finish for that did not happen as much because of the holidays/timing as anything.

Perhaps, overlapping prompts? One prompt a week, running for say three weeks, and they overlap, with reminders of what's where in the timeline?

Another possibility might be to have periodic amnesty-posting weeks, two - four times in the year?

I do read all the prompts, and have so far gotten ideas off of most of them, but only succeeded in writing-and-posting one in the time period.

I like the idea of overlapping prompts. That would give everyone more time and yet allow for some variety.

Maybe like a new prompt every two weeks but they stay open for a month.

Thanks for the ideas, changes are being made as we speak. :)

You didn't have my answer to the second question, which is I'm a slacker who procrastinates too much and never has enough time to participate. Plus, I'm slogging through an original novel right now.

Well that's a perfectly justified reason then. Would never want to get in the way of great artistry.

We'll still be here if and when you have time. :)
