I don't rec movies very often, as I know how subjective a love of a film can be, but I'm making an exception to recommend Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. I didn't hold very high hopes for this film, despite the presence of Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy. A third film in a series I love and a prequel to boot, not directed by Len Wiseman either: everything was just telling me to fear the worst.

I'm delighted to say I was wrong. If you've seen the first two Underworld movies, and liked them, even if you were a bit disappointed by Underworld:Evolution, you should watch Rise of the Lycans. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and at the end felt a sense of 'aw, is that it?'. It neatly caps off the trilogy, holding firmly to its own canon set out in the first two films. Oh, and if you've never seen any of them, it's a prequel so go watch it anyway!

The only downside is I've now got a new fandom I want to write and I'm frantically batting away bunnies. *headdesk*

Mwah-ha-ha-ha... It's the Attack of the Fluffy Plot Bunnies.

Though with the way they multiply, I've often thought that they should be called Plot Tribbles.

But, I don't want to be a pie,: bunny directoridontlikegravy on January 23rd, 2009 06:52 pm (UTC)
I'm doomed, DOOMED I tell's ya! XD

I think they are plot tribbles in Trek fandom, aren't they?

Hmm... I've never heard them referred to as plot tribbles, but I don't write/read much ST fanfic. Mostly like ST:NG if it has Q. I have this theory that Q really had a huge-ish crush on Picard.

That's why he kept bugging Picard.

Q couldn't believe that he would have a lusting after a human. Eww! How disgusting! He kept testing Picard hoping Picard would fail, but Picard doesn't so it just causes Q to crush even more. lol!

I'm going to see it on Wednesday and was kind of worried whether I'd like it or not. I'll trust your word that it's worth watching!
